Private San Juan Islands Boat Excursion for Four
Private San Juan Islands Boat Excursion for Four
Hosted by longtime Lopez mariners Stephanie Dallas & Krista Mann
Set off on an unforgettable day on the water aboard Stella Maris, a beautifully crafted 30’ Coastal Craft that has explored the islands for nearly two decades. Your party of four may choose between two unique excursions, each showcasing the beauty and quiet magic of the San Juan Islands:
Option 1 — Stuart Island & Turn Point Lighthouse (5–6 hours)
Cruise north through the scenic Wasp Islands before arriving at remote Stuart Island. From there, enjoy a roughly 2.5-mile walk along rural roads to the historic Turn Point Lighthouse, overlooking Haro Strait and the Canadian Gulf Islands. On a clear day the views are spectacular, and while never guaranteed, spotting orcas from this vantage point is not unusual. A picnic lunch is provided.
Option 2 — Scenic Island Cruise with Lunch Included (approx. 4 hours)
For guests who prefer a more leisurely outing, choose a relaxed cruise through the San Juan archipelago. Stephanie and Krista will shape the route around conditions and your interests — whether that’s rocky shorelines, quiet coves, or wildlife-rich channels. Lunch is included, with the location flexible (onboard or ashore) depending on what makes the most sense for the day.
About the Vessel
Stella Maris is a seaworthy Northwest classic, with comfortable seating and a full head (restroom) onboard. She is well-known around Lopez — even briefly infamous, after being stolen by the Barefoot Bandit in 2010 — and has since returned to years of peaceful cruising under Stephanie and Krista’s care.
Scheduling
- Best months: April–September
