Every spring, the Lopez Island Golf Club hosts the annual Soggy Bottom Golf Tournament. The proceeds from this event benefit LIHHS and it is also a great excuse to get together with friends on the golf green.

The most beautiful of days and possibly the least soggy of all the Soggy Bottom Golf Tournaments was an absolute success! Once again golfers from all around the San Juans came together to raise money for Lopez Island Home and Hospice Support.

This year, thanks to Vaughan’s hard work organizing the Soggy Bottom tournament, they raised over $2000 to help support us in our cause of keeping Lopez islanders safely at home. We at LIHHS cannot express our gratitude enough and this year we wanted to take a moment to really shine the spotlight on the Soggy Bottom golfers and the Lopez Island Golf Course. This event embodies the heart of LIHHS, “Neighbors Helping Neighbors!”
