Take a summer stroll through abundance! Sweetbriar Farm co-owner and horticultural expert Doug Benoliel (author of the regional bestseller Northwest Foraging: The Guide to Edible Native Plants) will lead a private tour during peak harvest season. With over 50 years in agriculture and horticulture, Doug will share insights into the farm’s thriving orchards and fields — which have donated more than 17,000 pounds of fresh produce to Lopez organizations since 2020. After your tour, you’ll be handed a picnic basket prepared by LIHHS board member AnneMarie Killen-Gall and invited to enjoy it anywhere on the farm. A feast for both mind and body!
