The Lopez Island Fire Department is dedicated to the preservation and protection of life, property, and the environment. Through a team effort of public education, fire prevention, disaster preparation, and mitigation, they provide emergency fire, rescue, and medical services.
Lopez Island Family Resource Center offers programs and services to support, enrich, educate and empower the Lopez Island community. Services include: non-perishable food bank, basic food, and fresh food; energy assistance; and a community wellness program.

Technologically advanced care is provided by physicians who are board certified in hematology/oncology. The nurse practitioner has specialized training in oncology and registered nurses have certification in cancer care through the Oncology Nursing Society. Services include: chemotherapy; medication administration; blood product transfusion; private visits with physicians and a nurse practitioner; referral to radiation therapy.
